Minimalist Timer App Reviews

This is a wonderful little app. To me, the available tones are a bit unsettling. It would approach perfection if there were one or more meditation bells or gongs included. Still, for not having all those mindless, annoying "extra features" and clutter: 5 stars.

This is a really nice and well designed app. It functions exactly how it is described, and has a degree of flexibility which I didnt expect in such a minimalist tool. You can adjust the timer to various input defaults, or to any measurable point within a tolerance level most people will not require to be more precise. You can opt to have it beep (or not) buzz (or not) vibrate, etc. when the timer expires. You can remove chunks of time in preset amounts as well, and there is a respectable level of further adjustments that can be made within the tool. But the signature feature here is design. The interface is so perfect that it appears to have been brought to us by Apple. Intuitive and understated, the rheostat design is elegant to the point of being zen. I hope the developer continues to work at making more of this type of wonderful, functional app.

I must have looked at a couple dozen egg, kitchen, game, etc. timers before I finally found this one -- and now Im done looking. My only criticism is that if you fail to stop the timer before starting a new time, you can lose up to nearly a full second. I would suggest automatically synchronizing the internal counter whenever the timer is restarted from zero. An future upgrade request would be more sound choices or the ability to record custom sounds. Still, this is the best simplest timer Ive found and Im thrilled to have it and applaud that it was offered free.

You couldnt ask for a more clean easy to use timer that just screams "Apple design" all over! Its elegant, but yet is everything I want/need in a timer app. To developer: please dont ever clutter the design or bring ads into it.

Great app, it would have gotten 5 stars from me if it was ipad retina ready.

Love the simplicity, but the fact that the alarm/sounds dont repeat is utterly dumb. Wanted this primarily as a timer to use for "time out" for our toddler, but need an alarm that lasts longer as we might be in another room and wouldnt hear three little beeps etc. make an option for the sounds to repeat ad infinitum if need be, and its five stars.

I use this app a lot. Much easier to use than the stock timer app. Better looking too.

Not sure why we need this. The stock time is easier to understand, faster to use and much more valuable. It remembers your last time. Easier to set. The Alarm keeps going. This one is simpler to look at but shouldnt form follow function?

I was told a while back that I needed to set a timer for things I do. Im ADD and get off task very quickly. I will set a timer for 30 minutes and it literally helps me stay on task every time. I love this app! Its simple, easy and I am never getting rid of it!!!

I liked this originally. When features and ads were added, I paid the buck for no ads. BUT, it keeps failing to beep. If I restart the iPhone, it works once or twice and then quits working. It would be 4 or 5 stars otherwise.

And works as a timer. Simple app that does exactly what its name means. I use it every day

I need a timer that keeps the alarm going until I turn it off, in case I leave the room. Great app otherwise.

why would i need a timer that has to be open? if i am looking at the timer, i dont need it! i can sit and stare at the clock. i want to be able to use my ipad for other things and have the timer alert me for the reason i set it.
